Tai Tei Tong Stream

Tai Tei Tong Stream is located at Mui Wo, Lantau. It drains the Lung Mei Hang area and Tai Tei Tong area and connects to Silver River before flowing into the Silver Mine Bay. Some sections of the river were channelized in 2011.

Tai Tei Tong Stream

The downstream section of Tai Tei Tong Stream, which is close to Ma Po Tsuen, is lined with gabion wall and covered by herbaceous vegetation and climbers. The upstream section is a semi-natural watercourse which is overgrown by herbaceous plants. Further upstream part of the river channel near Lung Mei Hang is a natural hillside stream with cobbles and bedrocks and its stream banks are overgrown with tree community.

Tai Tei Tong Stream

Secondary woodland is mainly concentrated at the northern part of the survey area close to Mui Wo Kau Tsuen. These wooded areas comprise a native overstory, which is interspersed with exotic trees and fruit trees.

The agricultural land areas are usually cultivated with a few fruit trees and other common crop food.

Several orchards are found in Mui Wo Kau Tsuen and Ma Po Tsuen. These orchards are mainly cultivated with fruit trees.

The developed area mainly includes villages. Fruit trees and other ornamental plants are planted.
