Shek Kong Stream
The Shek Kong Stream is located in Yuen Long, northwest New Territories. It is a channelized and semi-natural waterway. It drains the Kam Tin sub-catchment from Lui Kung Tin Tsuen down to Tai Ling and flows westward into the Kam Tin River.

Shek Kong Stream is a concrete-lined watercourse at the uppermost section. Both banks of the remaining watercourse are lined with gabions. The waterbody and the riparian zone of this watercourse are largely overgrown by grass and herbs, while the gabion walls are largely covered by grass and climbers. The lower section of watercourse close to the villages is overgrown by herbaceous vegetation.

The Plantation areas form a dense tree canopy covering the waterbody. These areas mainly comprise common fruit trees, exotic trees, and some native trees.

Several patches of grassland scatter over the area. This habitat is mainly abandoned agricultural land. The vegetation found is common grass, herbs and climbers.

The developed area includes the villages and Shek Kong Barrack. Ornamental trees and other common naturally established vegetation trees are found in this area.
