Increase the treatment capacity of the Existing Tai Po Sewage Treatment Works (STW) from 120 000 m³/day to 160 000 m³/day, with provision to receive and digest sludge from the STWs in eastern New Territories (e.g. the relocated Sha Tin STW) for co-digestion with organic or pre-treated food waste.

The project will increase the treatment capacity of the Existing Tai Po STW from 120 000 m³/day to 160 000 m³/day.
