Interdepartmental Collaboration

 

During the project, the project team closely communicated and cooperated with different departments:

 

  • The Drainage Services Department implemented the project, while the Water Supplies Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance. This joint effort between the two departments not only promoted infrastructure development, but also achieved the dual purposes of flood prevention and water conservation, making it a win-win situation.
  • The project is located within the country park area, so the project team collaborated with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to erect information signage within the country park after the project completion. The signage introduces the innovative engineering concepts of the IRTS project, its "flood prevention and water conservation" goals, and the importance of sustainable development to the public.
