4.1 The baseline noise monitoring for monitoring station (M9 - Ap Lei Chau PTW) was conducted between 6th January 2010 and 19th January 2010. The monitoring results were used to establish the ambient noise levels at the sensitive receiver prior to the construction for the Project.
4.2 The baseline noise monitoring was carried out in accordance with the updated EM&A Manual, in respect of the methodology, equipment, location and monitoring parameters. The major noise source identified at the monitoring station M9 (Ap Lei Chau PTW) was the traffic noise. The baseline monitoring results are considered representative to the ambient noise level.
