DSD awarded Agreement No. CE 29/2015 (DS) “Climate Change Impact Study on Sewerage Facilities in Hong Kong – Feasibility Study”

The Drainage Services Department signed a $6.3 million consultancy agreement on 28 December 2015 with Black & Veatch Hong Kong Limited to conduct a study on the impact of climate change to Hong Kong’s sewerage facilities.

The consultancy agreement will assess the impacts of climate change on Hong Kong’s sewerage facilities and propose corresponding mitigation and adaptation measures in respect of their planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance.  The consultancy agreement will also establish a framework for continuous monitoring and necessary mitigation to the effects of climate change on Hong Kong’s sewerage facilities.

The consultancy agreement will last for about 24 months.
