DSD awarded Agreement No. CE 28/2015 (DS) “Study on Revitalisation of Water Bodies – Feasibility Study”

The Drainage Services Department signed a $10.88 million consultancy agreement on 11 December 2015 with AECOM Asia Company Limited to conduct a feasibility study on revitalisation of water bodies.
The scope of the consultancy agreement includes exploring practical options for applying the concept of revitalising water bodies to nullahs and river channels when carrying out large-scale drainage improvement works and drainage planning for new development areas. It aims at promoting greening, biodiversity, beautification and water friendliness in addition to achieving efficient drainage, with a view to building sustainable drainage facilities and providing a better living environment.
The consultancy agreement will last for about 24 months. |
