DSD projects won 8 Awards in “Considerate Contractors Site Award Scheme (CCSAS) 2011”

Drainage Services Department projects won 8 awards in “Considerate Contractors Site Award Scheme 2011”. Prize presentation ceremony was held at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on 24 May 2012.
The event was jointly held by Development Bureau and Construction Industry Council with the supports and arrangement from Drainage Services Department this year.
There were 117 public contracts participated the scheme in 2011. Over 600 guests including honourable guests and the press had attended the ceremony. The “Considerate Contractors Site Award Scheme” aims at raising the safety and health awareness plus environmental consciousness of works departments, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, site personnel, supervisors and workers of the construction industry; fostering a positive safety culture and encouraging the adoption of safe work practices in the industry; and, through an open competition, to award participants at various levels in recognition of their good occupational safety and health performances. The campaign had been receiving fervent support from the industry throughout the years.
